You can anticipate a transformative and rejuvenating experience that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit.
Location:
The retreat is situated in a tranquil and picturesque natural setting, St Mark’s Stays, Cautley near Sedbergh . The chosen location is thoughtfully selected to provide a peaceful and harmonious environment that complements the retreat's objectives.
Duration:
The retreat duration spans one week, creating a significant period for deepening one's connection with nature, exploring fasting, and delving into movement practices.
Fasting Experience:
Participants will engage in fasting using the Dr Buchinger method, which involves abstaining from solid foods while nourishing the body with liquids such as herbal teas, vegetable broths, and fresh fruit juices. The fasting period serves as a profound detoxification and rejuvenation process.
Connecting with Nature:
Guided nature walks are integral to the retreat experience. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural beauty surrounding the retreat center. These walks are not just physical but also contemplative, allowing for mindfulness, reflection, and connection with the healing power of nature.
Yin Yoga Sessions:
Daily Yin yoga sessions are a key component of the retreat. Yin yoga, characterized by deep, long-held poses, aims to release physical and emotional tension. These sessions are gentle and restorative, designed to enhance flexibility and promote the mind-body connection. Yin yoga complements the fasting process by encouraging relaxation and inner exploration.
Daily Schedule:
The retreat follows a structured daily schedule that includes fasting, yoga, meditation, and free time for relaxation or personal reflection. Group activities, discussions, and gatherings provide opportunities for sharing experiences and insights, fostering a sense of community and support among participants.
Digital Detox:
Participants are encouraged to disconnect from electronic devices and the outside world during the retreat. This digital detox promotes a deeper connection with oneself and nature, enhancing the retreat's mindfulness aspect.
Detox and Healing:
The retreat may entail detoxification symptoms, including temporary discomforts, which are part of the body's natural healing process. The overall objective is physical, mental, and emotional rejuvenation.
Community and Support:
Sharing the retreat journey with like-minded individuals creates a strong sense of community and support. Participants often find that these connections extend beyond the retreat, providing lasting support networks.
Integration and Re-Feeding:
Towards the end of the retreat, a gradual re-feeding process is initiated to reintroduce solid foods systematically. This process aids the body in transitioning safely back to regular eating patterns.
Overall Experience:
Anticipate a profound and introspective experience that may result in physical revitalization, mental clarity, and a heightened sense of well-being. The retreat fosters self-discovery, encourages holistic healing, and deepens one's connection to nature and inner self.

Meet your host
Hi, I'm Diane!
I am a certified fasting guide and alternative health practitioner based in London, UK. I offer body work, reiki, yoga and nutrition services.
I used to be a competitive swimmer and a personal trainer and from an early age I noticed the effect of food on my body’s ability to perform. My interest in nutrition and fasting has sprouted from that and the inner knowing that food is much more than just fuel for our bodies.
I bring with me years of experience. I know what it takes to create a life where you are feeling free,
happy, cleansed and healthy on all levels and I incorporate all the tools that I've learned and that I know and I share with you everything that I have, to improve your life and make your health and healing journey easy and beautiful.

your kind thoughts...
“I began to feel myself in a way that was unknown to me, liberated and as if the body acted in its most original function, it moved without adding food, it felt as if I am walking on clouds.”
“The mind was sharp and focused on the essentials. I moved in symbiosis with nature...
Thinking about food? - no, there was really no room for that!
Every sip of spring water was a revelation to me. The happiness about the nourishing broth in the evening, this explosion of taste, as a reward for the physical strain, joyfully kept me going.”
“My most important realisation was that NOT doing something I love, not only has physical advantages but also sharpens the view of things that are otherwise easily overlooked.
I recommend this important experience to anyone”
